We are always looking for more volunteers, if you have grounded compassion, a non-judgemental outlook and can encourage a person to make positive changes then we'd love to hear from you.

We encourage volunteers to apply who are from a diverse range of backgrounds, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. There is a minimum age requirement of 21.

We will invite you in for an informal interview and provide you with training and ongoing support.

"Being a befriender requires you to suspend judgement of the individual and offer help and guidance wherever possible. I am realistic about what I can contribute but hopeful about what can be achieved."

BEFRIENDER

"Having a befriender has helped me to trust people more...Knowing that someone would be meeting and greeting me upon my release, to help and guide me."
