We are seeking new Trustees

Change for Good Community Chaplaincy Limited wishes to appoint two new Trustees to join our Board at an exciting stage of development for the charity.

Change for Good is a volunteer mentoring charity whose mission is to empower those leaving prison and resettling in London to transform their lives through mentoring, advocacy, and peer support.  The core values that underpin our work are transformation, empowerment, commitment, innovation and collaboration. We are committed to building purposeful relationships between our staff and volunteers and the men we support, and to encouraging self-empowerment through our peer support group.

The last few years have seen us expand in major ways:

 Our staff team has grown

 We have broadened our ways of working

 We now support men being released from three London prisons (HMPs Brixton,

Wandsworth and Wormwood Scrubs), as well as from out of London prisons that

return men to the capital, including HMP Ford

We are now planning our strategy for the next three years, building on these developments with further innovations to respond to the many challenges prison leavers face.

We are looking to appoint two new Trustees to our Board who share our commitment to supporting prison leavers – among the most vulnerable members of society – as they re-establish themselves in the community. Trustees play a key role in governing the charity, setting our strategic priorities, ensuring that we comply with legal, charitable and financial requirements, and supporting our staff and volunteers.

We are seeking individuals with knowledge of the criminal justice system and resettlement issues, and we would especially welcome applications from those with skills and experience in HR and/or fundraising. Change for Good is committed to inclusion, equity and diversity, and aims to reflect the communities we serve. We welcome applications from all those with empathy with our faith-based values and ethos, whether or not they are themselves members of a faith community; we also welcome applications from eligible individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system.
